We offer a range of services and products aimed at keeping your pet well. We want to provide you with all the help and advice you need for a healthy, happy pet.

AMBULANCE

If it is difficult for you to bring your pet to the St. Anne’s Road surgery for an operation, then we can arrange collection and return.

BEHAVIOUR CLINICS

Our qualified veterinary nurses offer advice clinics for puppies and for dogs with noise phobia and separation anxiety. For more complicated behavioural cases we can arrange referral to local trusted specialists.

BEREAVEMENT SUPPORT SERVICE

The loss of a pet can bring a range of unexpected emotions. Our vets, nurses and reception staff are available to provide support and advice when required. Please contact us if you have recently suffered a loss and need a friendly ear. Alternatively, the Blue Cross run their own bereavement service where you can speak to a friendly ear on 0800 096 6606.

CLIENT EDUCATION EVENINGS

*These are on hold at the moment due to covid.* At St. Anne's we are committed to sharing our expertise with pet owners and helping them to keep their pets healthy for a long and happy life together. We hold regular informal educational evenings at our St Anne's Road surgery. Ask about our events as part of your next visit or call us on 01323 640011 for more information.

EYE EXAMINATIONS

We are well equipped to provide detailed ophthalmic examinations and investigations. One of our senior vets, Hetty Pullan will see cases at our St Anne's Road surgery and will examine your pet’s eyes using direct and indirect ophthalmoscopy, slit lamp bio-microscopy and digital tonometry. Again, ask your attending vet whether a referral to Hetty would be appropriate in your case.

HEALTH CARE PRODUCTS

Our dispensaries stock a wide range of products that we believe will keep your pet in the best possible health throughout its life.

LIFEPLANS

We aim to provide a framework of veterinary nurse and veterinary surgeon consultations throughout the stages of a healthy dog’s life in order to inform, advise and encourage owners to maintain their pet’s physical and social wellbeing. There is always an appointment for you whatever the need. Our nurses are trained to help you keep your pet healthy, so please telephone us whatever the need. We believe that a healthy pet is a happy pet and more fun to own.

MICROCHIPPING

We use Pettrac Backhome microchip identification system to help ease the worry of your pet being lost or stolen. Microchip identification is a requirement for pet passports and from April 2016 it became a legal requirement to have a dog microchipped and owner details registered. We also recommend that cats, even indoor cats get microchipped too. Every year we see stray tortoises that have escaped a garden, it's very useful to get these guys chipped as well.

NURSE CLINICS

In addition to our Life plan consultations, our qualified nurses also have appointments available for many tasks including nail clipping, post-operative checks and assistance with medication. We have nurse consultations at the main surgery at St. Anne's Road and the Langney surgery on Monday and Wednesday mornings.

ORTHOPAEDIC SPECIALIST SERVICE

For more complex bone and joint surgery or investigation of lameness we work closely with Coast Veterinary Referrals. Rob Rayward, Lucy Goddard & Philip Harris offer clients an on-site specialist veterinary orthopaedic service. They have their own practice at the front of our main surgery.

PET ACCESSORIES

A selection of good quality collars, leads, pet carriers and other products are stocked or can be ordered for next day delivery. We also stock some great toys which are safe for your pets.

PET HEALTH FOR LIFE PLANS

The St. Anne’s Pet Health for Life plans offers essential veterinary care at a reduced price. In return for a monthly fee collected by direct debit, pet owners could save on the costs of routine veterinary treatments like vaccinations and parasite treatments.

PET FOODS

We stock a wide range of pet food that we believe will keep your pet in the best possible health throughout its life. Our staff are trained to advise you on the most appropriate food for your pet.
